As of Jan. 1, Ontario pharmacists are authorized to prescribe certain medications, without a doctor’s appointment, for 13 minor ailments listed below*.
This service is free for Ontario Health Card holders.
You can come to our location without an appointment or schedule a meeting with the pharmacist.
- Allergies - Stuffy nose (Allergic Rhinitis)
- Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis)
- Bladder / Urinary Tract Infection (UTI: Uncomplicated)
- Cold Sores (Oral Herpes Labialis)
- Heartburn / Acid Reflux (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease)
- Hemorrhodis
- Tick Bites (Prevention of Lyme Disease)
- Skin Rash (Dermatitis)
- Oral Fungal Infection (Oral Thrush)
- Premenstrual and Period Cramps (Dysmenorrhea)
- Skin Infection (Impetigo)
- Insect Bites and Itch
- Muscle aches and pains (Musculoskeletal sprains and strains)
